Tim Plummer Appointed as Head of Product Strategy at Capital.com

Tim Plummer has been appointed as the new Head of Product Strategy at the global trading platform, Capital.com.

Plummer joins Capital.com following a short stint as Head of Trading at Zumo, the crypto and blockchain financial app, where he served from May of this year until September. He brings more than a decade worth of experience in the online trading industry.

Prior to joining Zumo, Plummer worked at IG Group for over seven and a half years. Joining as a Technical Specialist in Trading Services, Plummer became the Head of Integrated Trading Platforms at IG Group before being appointed as the Head of Platform Innovation in July 2017 until his departure from the London-headquartered online trading platform.

Comings and Goings Continue at Capital.com After Strong Q2

The appointment of Plummer to the role of the Head of Product Strategy at the London-based firm is the latest in a series of management changes at Capital.com.

A few weeks ago, David Jones resigned from the position of Chief Market Strategist after four years at the retail brokerage.

Capital.com, owned by Belarusian billionaire entrepreneur Viktor Prokopenya also saw Simon Henry leave the company in July to join Exinity as the Compliance Director.

Additionally, the broker group onboarded the former CEO of IG, Peter Hetherington as the Group CEO following the exit of Jon Squires, who has now joined Skilling. Furthermore, Capital.com recently appointed Angela Shi as the APAC CFO and Christopher Brankin as the Singapore CEO.

The management merry-go-round comes on the back of a healthy Q2 for Capital.com. Although the quarterly trading fell volume inched 3% lower from Q1, the company announced that it had added over a million new users to its platform in Q2 2022, representing a 19.44 percent jump from the previous quarter.
