Russia blames mass tech outages on DDoS assault

The Russian authorities has blamed the widespread outage of a number of fashionable cell purposes on a distributed denial of service (DDoS) assault.

The outage affected a lot of messaging apps and on-line providers, together with Telegram, WhatsApp, Skype, Wikipedia, Steam, Discord, Twitch, and VKontakte – a Russian social community.
