RoboForex Inks Sponsorship Deal with Peru’s Football Club Cienciano

RoboForex is strengthening its brand in Latin America with the latest sponsorship deal with a Peruvian professional football club, Cienciano, Finance Magnates learned exclusively.

Under the initially signed contract, the forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) broker will sponsor the football club for the 2022-2023 playing season. They did not mention anything about extending the timeline of the deal. Also, the financial terms of the deal are unknown.

The deal came as a strategic move by the broker to expand its popularity among Latin American football fans. Club Cienciano was established in 1901 at Cusco, a historical city in the country. It is one of the country’s oldest football clubs and won two international trophies.

“We have been captivated by Peru, by its people, its culture, its history, and by the great club that is Cienciano. [This] reaffirms the commitment RoboForex has made to the club and to all of Peru,” said Sami Otman, RoboForex’s CBO in Latin America.

The broker did not reveal the promotional slots it received with the partnership. However, the two will engage in social services around football.

The official stadium of the club, Estadio Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, has a capacity of more than 42,000, making any brand promotion on the premises very lucrative.

“The outstanding trajectory of this club and its deep-rooted fans are the reasons why RoboForex participates in a sponsorship agreement that favors the training and performance of Cienciano football,” RoboForex stated.

Sponsoring football clubs has become one of the lucrative marketing tactics for promoting brands. Some trading brands have inked big-ticket sponsorship deals with major football clubs, while a few have inked dozens of deals with big and small football names. eToro alone has around two dozen active sponsorship deals.

The latest football deal of the Peruvian club is not the first such sponsorship of the parent of the RoboForex brand. RoboMarkets, the sister brand of RoboForex, is sponsoring the popular German football club, Eintracht, along with a few deals in some other sports.
