More on news that the US Plans to Ease Venezuela Sanctions, Enabling Chevron to Pump Oil

Responses to this item are pouring in across various media. Pretty much all are along the lines of this is not going to happen due to the caveat the Wall Street Journal have added (see the post link above). Maduro will not be allowing any talks with opposition any time soon. The second main objection is that even if he does it’ll take years before Chevron can pump more oil out of the country in any any meaningful amounts.
