Problem the startup solves:
We’ve had enough of having 100 bags and backpacks for all types of purposes, so we decided to design our own, that will work in any situation. Thanks to the fully modular interior you can adapt the backpack to the gear you need to carry and the needs you have. Combined with high quality recycled materials, European sustainable manufacturing and hiking-backpack ergonomics while having a classic design, we made the backpack that fits any need.
Progress and current status:
The prototype phase is complete and the product is production ready. Right now we are running a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for manufacturing the first batch of modular backpacks.
What is a crazy story about the startup?:
When we first started I taught myself how to sew backpacks in 4 months. I got so far that I could make our first prototypes myself to test the idea of the modular backpack. I spent ours on a normal home sewing machine figuring out how to make them and how to make them ergonomical. It was a crazy time, but it showed me that our idea is not just a fluke but has an actual benefit to everybody who wears backpacks.
What is a company the startup looks up to, and why?:
We look up to the Swiss company NIKIN. It itself is still kind of a startup, but they showed it is possible to interrupt an existing market by having high quality, European made fashion.
