B-Stock is so excited to welcome Lloyd McFarland to the Finance team this summer! As a summer teammate, we know Lloyd will be an incredible asset to the company. Lloyd studied Business Administration-Accounting at Texas A&M University at Commerce. Learn a bit more about Lloyd and see their answers to some questions below.
Q: What are you most excited to learn at B-Stock?
For the start of this internship, I was most excited to learn what I would be doing in the Finance Department.
Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? (Or still want to be!)
When I was a kid, I wanted to be rich and a superhero. Today, I’d still love to be Batman.
Q: What is one piece of advice you’ve been given that has stuck?
One piece of advice that has stuck is taking notes that make sense to me. Ultimately, repetition has enabled me to learn anything a lot quicker within a couple of hours to a couple of days.
Q: Where can people find you after work or school?
People can find me after work/school in my room either studying or practicing my instruments.
Q: What is a hidden talent of yours?
A hidden talent that I have is that I can play 5 different instruments.
Q: What plays in the background while you work (music genre, podcast, news)?
RnB, Rap, or Pop music
Q: Where would you go with unlimited PTO?
With unlimited PTO, I would travel with my family anywhere we decided to go.
Q: What do you do when you’re stuck creatively? How do you get the creative juices flowing?
When I’m stuck, I just put something together whether it makes sense or not, to give me some sort of direction. After that, I do my best to form it to align with my vision.
Q: What’s something you’ve accomplished that you’re proud of?
Something that I’ve accomplished and am proud of is graduating from Texas A&M University at Commerce with a BBA in Accounting.
Q: What is one thing you hope to contribute to B-Stock?
My 110% dedication to each task and project that was assigned to me that actually helped to make a difference in either the entire department or company as a whole.
