WSJ Timiraos: A few methods to take a look at inflation…


As Nick Timiraos factors out, the PCE knowledge for 3, 6 and 12 months are all at or under 2.8%. Not too unhealthy. In January 2024 They have been all above 4.8%.

Not so excellent news is the core PCE (previous to April 2021) solely got here in above 0.42% two instances since 1991 and never since October 2021. Immediately the core PCE rose by 0.4%.
