Vestas Wind Systems is the world’s largest manufacturer of wind turbines. For the past year they have struggled because of supply chain problems. They simply haven’t been able to get the different parts they needed. They have a huge backlog of orders. From what I have read, it seems as if the supply chain problems are easing up. Computer chips and processors are becoming available again. Soon Vestas will produce tons of wind turbines again.
And why is tomorrow important? Well, the Danish prime minister, Mette Frederiksen, is hosting a green energy summit at the island of Bornholm. Lots of world leaders will attend with the main purpose of strengthening the EU’s independence from Russian gas, improve energy security and harness the Baltic Sea’s untapped offshore energy potential. This will most likely boost the VWS stock in the coming days.
