Pondering Machines Lab, the AI startup led by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati, has misplaced certainly one of its co-founders to Meta.
The Wall Road Journal experiences that AI researcher Andrew Tulloch introduced his departure to workers in a message on Friday. A Pondering Machine Labs spokesperson confirmed Tulloch’s departure to the WSJ, saying he “has determined to pursue a unique path for private causes.”
Again in August, the WSJ reported that Mark Zuckerberg’s aggressive AI recruiting blitz included a suggestion to accumulate Pondering Machines Lab — and when that failed, Zuckerberg reportedly tried to lure Tulloch with a compensation bundle that might have been value as much as $1.5 billion over at the least six years. (On the time, a Meta spokesperson mentioned that the WSJ’s description of the supply was “inaccurate and ridiculous.”)
Tulloch beforehand labored at OpenAI and Fb’s AI Analysis Group.
