The S&P 500 dividend yield simply hit an all-time low of 1.08%, the bottom because the 1800s.

The prior low was 1.1% in 2000.

Do you know there are “dividend” mutual funds with destructive yields (their expense ratios exceed their dividend yields)?!

Then again, inventory buybacks have exceeded dividends because the late Nineties. And but, practically all inventory funds nonetheless focus solely on dividends, which is loopy. (And it’s not simply concerning the buybacks, but in addition the share issuance!)
