Seatrium, Cochin Shipyard signal MoU to broaden offshore collaboration in India, Asia


Seatrium Offshore Know-how (SOT), a subsidiary of Seatrium Restricted, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cochin Shipyard Restricted (CSL), India’s largest shipbuilder and repairer, to strengthen cooperation within the offshore sector.

The settlement goals to leverage SOT’s engineering experience and offshore know-how alongside CSL’s intensive infrastructure and fabrication services. The collaboration will deal with upkeep, restore and overhaul (MRO) tasks throughout Asia, whereas additionally exploring alternatives in different offshore markets.

“This MoU is a strategic milestone in Seatrium’s efforts to broaden our international footprint, with India recognized as a key marketplace for long-term development,” stated Winston Cheng, Senior Vice President and Head of SOT. “By combining CSL’s native capabilities with Seatrium’s know-how strengths, we purpose to ship built-in offshore asset options to assist India’s vitality transition and maritime growth.”

CSL executives stated the partnership enhances the corporate’s offshore footprint and allows the supply of cost-effective options to regional purchasers.

The MoU supplies a framework for joint advertising, challenge execution and know-how collaboration. It builds on a 2024 settlement between Seatrium and CSL overlaying design and provide of apparatus for jack-up rigs serving the Indian market.
