PETRONAS wins new oil and gasoline exploration concession onshore Abu Dhabi


(WO) – PETRONAS Abu Dhabi, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PETRONAS, was granted a brand new oil and gasoline exploration concession in Onshore Block 2, by the Supreme Council for Monetary and Financial Affairs (SCFEA).


Underneath the settlement, PETRONAS Abu Dhabi will maintain 100% fairness and assume operatorship through the exploration interval.

The Onshore Block 2, positioned throughout the Al Dhafra area of Abu Dhabi protecting an space of over 7300 km2, is PETRONAS Abu Dhabi’s third concession, following the Unconventional Block 5 in 2024 and the Unconventional Block 1 in 2022.
