BNZ’s Senior Economist Doug Metal (bolding is mine):

  • “the autumn within the PSI follows the sharp decline within the Efficiency of Manufacturing Index (PMI) from 53.3 to 47.5. Collectively, they’re in line with the economic system returning to recession.
