New Zealand’s Deputy PM Robertson says economy is at a strong starting point

Robertson is also NZ’s finance minister. His remarks are crossing new wires. He sounds very optimistic.

  • the economic starting point for NZ is one of the best in the world
  • low public debt in NZ
  • signs are continuing to show that inflation pressure is easing
  • NZ getting to grips with the tight labour market

These are words from a politician. Sure price pressures may be easing but inflation is still super-strong.
