Hello-Fi Rush studio saved from Microsoft shutdown

Hello-Fi Rush developer Tango Gameworks has been spared closure, three months after Microsoft introduced plans to close down the studio. Krafton, the South Korean writer behind PUBG: Battlegrounds and The Callisto Protocol, introduced on Monday that it had acquired the sport and its Japanese studio, and is working with Xbox to allow a “clean transition” to make sure the Tango Gameworks group can “proceed creating the Hello-Fi Rush IP and discover future initiatives.”

The worth of the deal has not been disclosed. Hello-Fi Rush was the one Tango IP talked about in Krafton’s announcement, so it’s unclear if Microsoft is relinquishing the rights to the studio’s different franchises like The Evil Inside and Ghostwire: Tokyo. We now have reached out to Krafton for clarification. The PUBG proprietor says the acquisition gained’t impression the supply of Tango Gameworks’ current sport catalog.
