Advanced Markets Bermuda Appoints Omar Qaryouti as MD Commercial and Sales

Advanced Markets, a US-based prime broker and online trading brokerage firm, has appointed Omar Qaryouti to be its Managing Director of Commercial and Sales for Bermuda and Emerging Markets.

Qaryouti, who has resumed the position, joined Advanced Markets from CMS Prime, a brokerage he joined in July 2021, as the Chief Operating Officer.

Advanced Markets in a statement shared exclusively with Finance Magnates noted that Qaryouti has been tasked with spearheading the company’s global commercial growth.

The executive, who is to report to Samer Mourched, the firm’s CEO for Bermuda and Emerging Markets, is to support “key developments of the company on a regional level.”

Mourched believes that the choice of Omar “marks another step” in the company’s growth and evolution.

“We believe that Omar’s vast experience and pedigree in financial services will prove instrumental in the growth of the business,” Mourched added.

Speaking about his appointment, Qaryouti noted that his aim is to support the company’s CEO in increasing the prime broker’s global presence.

“I am thrilled to join at such a pivotal point in the company’s journey. We have already kicked-off the process of multiple improvements within product and technology,” the executive said.

Qaryouti’s Industry Experience

Qaryouti has over 13 years of experience working in the financial services industry.

Before CMS Prime, he worked for over eight years at the Abu Dhabi-based CFD broker and financial services company, ADSS.

He acted in various capacities during his time at the company, serving first as the Institutional Sales Manager of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), then as the Senior Vice President of Sales, and later as a Director.

Before ADSS, he was a Senior Partnership Manager and Direct Sales Team Leader at Alpari Middle East. Moreover, he worked as a Senior Account Manager at the forex broker, Alpari UK Limited between 2009 and 2013.

Furthermore, between 2008 and 2009, he was an Account Executive at Advanced Currency Markets.
