ISTANBUL (Reuters) -Chinese language e-commerce large Alibaba (NYSE:) Group Holding Ltd has instructed Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan it plans to speculate $2 billion in Turkey.

Michael Evans, president of Alibaba, made the feedback in a gathering with Erdogan, in accordance with an announcement from the corporate’s Turkish unit. It didn’t specify when the funding could be made.

Evans additionally stated Alibaba has invested $1.4 billion in Turkey by its unit Trendyol, one in all Turkey’s finest recognized e-commerce platforms, the assertion stated.
