US DOJ to crackdown on crypto exchanges, NCET director says

(Reuters) – The U.S. cryptocurrency enforcement tsar has mentioned that the nation was stepping up scrutiny of crypto exchanges to focus on illicit conduct on the platforms, the Monetary Instances reported on Monday.

The Division of Justice (DOJ) is focusing on crypto corporations that have interaction in crimes themselves or permit crimes like cash laundering to occur, Eun Younger Choi, director of the company’s Nationwide Cryptocurrency Enforcement Crew (NCET), informed the FT.
